Ann Whittle died in hospital
A woman has been charged with murder following an alleged row at a car boot sale in Glasgow.

Ann Whittle, 58, was taken to hospital when she became ill during the incident on Blochairn Road on Sunday. Mrs Whittle from Coatbridge later died.

Carol McMillan, 33, has been charged in connection with Mrs Whittle's death and was remanded in custody.

Her partner Charles Freeburn, 33, has been charged with assaulting Mrs Whittle's 68-year-old husband Norman.

He was released on bail when the pair appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday.

The alleged row is believed to have been over a parking space.

Neighbours have expressed their shock at Mrs Whittle's death.

Sandra Cumming, who lives nearby, described her as kind and well-liked locally.

She said: "She was always happy and loved her family, never had a bad word to say about anybody.

"Everybody looked after each other in this street and her death has come as a real shock. She was a very fit lady and used to go jogging every day."
