Man injured in 'racist' attack

A man from eastern Europe is being treated for fractures to his ribs and upper body after being attacked in Armagh.

A racial motive is being investigated for the attack which happened in the Alexander area of the city at about midnight on Saturday.

The 34-year-old man was assaulted by up to seven people in the front garden of his home.

Two of his attackers are believed to have been women.

Detectives in Armagh have appealed for anyone with any information about the attack to contact them.
