Work starts to revamp town centre
Work is getting under way to transform a town centre in Shropshire by revamping a former auction yard at a cost of £7.5m.

The yard at Craven Arms will become a an office, retail and residential development including a public square and an open-air market.

It is hoped that hundreds of jobs could be created as part of the regeneration scheme.

The project is due to be completed by July next year.

A number of organisations, including South Shropshire Housing Association, have already agreed to base their headquarters at the site.

Funding for the scheme has come from Advantage West Midlands and South Shropshire District Council.
