Brewery proposal goes to council

Plans to create a microbrewery in Kettering, Northants, could be approved by the borough council this week.

The proposed development would be added to an existing factory building in Durban Road.

Planners said using part of a leather factory yard for a brewery would be a good use of space and facilities.

But some living nearby said they fear the brewery could worsen traffic and noise. Kettering Borough Council meets on Tuesday to discuss the proposal.

A few weeks ago, a similar small brewery was approved for Great Oakley by Corby Borough Council.
