Two quizzed after street attack

A street in Bristol was sealed off for several hours early on Sunday as police investigated an assault.

A force spokesman said two people were in custody following an attack in the Dean Lane area of Bedminster.

Traffic was prevented from entering the road from both North Street and Coronation Road.

The route was closed from shortly after midnight as officers stepped up their inquiries. Details of the nature of the attack have not yet been released.
