Couple back after Austria crash
Rescue crews surround wreckage of bus
The bus plunged down a steep embankment
A Shropshire couple have returned to the Midlands after surviving a coach crash in Austria in which five British holidaymakers died.

Emma Jones, 30, from Bridgnorth, has gone to North Staffordshire Hospital to have surgery on her leg injury.

Her boyfriend, Peter Davies, 27, from Alveley, escaped serious injury in the crash at Bad Duerrnberg on Tuesday.

He crawled through a window and ran to the front of the bus to switch off the engine as diesel poured out.

Driver charged

The Inghams tour bus had veered off a road and plunged 30 metres down an embankment near Hallein, 10km south of Salzburg.

About 30 of the 46 passengers were injured in the crash.

The driver of a minibus has been charged with causing death by negligence.

Mr Davies works at an aluminium factory in Bridgnorth, where he is also a part-time firefighter.

Ms Jones, who is a teacher, had surgery in Austria before returning to England.
