Murderer on run gives himself up
Owen Gordon Davies is wanted by the police
Police warned the public not to approach Davies
A convicted murderer who went on the run from Leyhill Open Prison has given himself up to police.

Owen Gordon Davies, 41, left the South Gloucestershire prison on Tuesday to attend a work placement in Bristol, but he failed to arrive.

He later walked into a police station in Walsall and is now back in prison.

Davies was sentenced to life imprisonment on 1 January 1995 for the murder of an 83-year-old man in Kentish Town in London.

While Davies was on the run, police warned the public not to approach him and alerted ports and airports.
