Sark Carnival may return to water
Sark
Organisers say the carnival must keep developing
Sark Carnival could return to its original harbour venue in future.

The popular annual event was a harbour carnival until a few years ago when insurance matters forced a move to the Millennium Field.

Peter Cuneen, chairman of the water carnival committee says the event has to keep evolving.

He says the committee is inclined to do something in the harbour again, but it would be in a different vein and not a return to events of the past.

Mr Cuneen said: "We've got to keep developing the idea of carnival - we can't stop still.

"So maybe something next year, or the year after, will take place in the harbour."
