A 36-year-old man from Dunmow, Essex, has been bailed by police after being questioned on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
His arrest followed a collision on the A130 in Essex on Saturday morning in which a man died.
The 55-year-old man from Southend was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the crash involved several vehicles, including a BMW going the wrong way on the carriageway. The man has been bailed until 9 October.
