Hospitals celebrate A&E targets
Lincolnshire hospitals say they are all achieving government targets set for accident and emergency departments.

The targets demand at least 90% of patients should expect to be seen, treated and discharged within four hours of arriving at casualty.

Managers say this success owes a great deal to the hard work and dedication of hospital staff.

Shorter waits mean less stress, discomfort and inconvenience for those using the A&E departments.

The Hospital Trust's Clinical Director Mr Hussein Hussan confirmed the hospitals now exceed the targets.

He said: "I am glad to say that within the United Lincolnshire Hospital's Trust the actual figure achieved is around 94 to 96%.

"At the Pilgrim Hospital in the past few weeks there have been some improvements and the figure there is about 92%."
