The body of a teenager, swept away by a fast-flowing river in Greater Manchester, has been found.
Adam Charlotte's body was recovered on Sunday a mile from where the 15-year-old fell in the River Bollin at Dunham Massey last Thursday afternoon.
Adam's family, from Partington, had been told the search had changed from a rescue to a recovery operation.
Up to 120 police officers, fire crews and a mountain rescue team took part in the three-day search.
A Greater Manchester Police spokeswoman said the body of Adam, who lived in Lancashire Road, was found by the underwater police unit at 1015 BST.
'Sad time'
A specialist fire service boat had been brought in to assist in the search operation, which had been extended to the nearby Manchester Ship Canal on Saturday.
Adam's friends, who were with him when he fell in at about 1600 BST on Thursday, were later treated for shock after trying him to pull him clear of the water.
"Our thoughts are with them at this extremely difficult and sad time," said the police spokeswoman.
