Villagers in a spin over turbines
Wind farm
Villagers say the wind turbines will be unsightly
People living at Ketton, in Rutland, are protesting at plans to erect two wind turbines near their homes.

They have presented a petition to Rutland County Council arguing that the turbines would be a dangerous distraction for drivers.

They also say the turbines would spoil the view, and become a danger to birds from nearby Rutland Water.

However, environmental experts say the 95-metre-high wind turbines would be a bold experiment for the area.

The county council has delayed making a decision on the plans until the end of August.
