Cannabis 'factory' in Cotswolds
Cannabis plants
Police say recent raids have made a big dent in the local drugs trade
Cannabis plants being grown in a 30ft long plastic tunnel have been found during a police raid on a remote cottage in the Cotswolds.

Police arrested two people after a tip-off about the "factory" in the back garden of the property in the village of Latton near Cirencester.

A large amount of cannabis resin and small quantities of powder believed to be Class A drugs were also seized.

A man aged 35 and woman aged 40 were questioned at Stroud police station.

Police said the plants seized were in various stages of cultivation with one about eight feet tall with a thick stem.

Officers also took away heat lamps, fans and plastic sheeting.

A police statement said: "This latest raid comes hot on the heels of a recently-executed warrant which saw a cannabis factory in Cirencester broken up by local officers.

"The public should know that operations of this type will continue in the future.

"If we get good information we will act on it."
