Pair to stand trial over shooting
Amratlal Kanabar
Mr Kanabar was shot on his way home
A man and woman accused of murdering a grandfather-of-four who was shot after a high-speed car chase, will face trial later this year.

Amratlal Kanabar, 60, was shot in the head as he travelled home to Leicester in a car from Nottingham last October.

Richard Harris Watson, 34, and Rebecca Shakespeare, 24, both earlier denied murder and appeared at a brief hearing at Nottingham Crown Court on Wednesday.

Mr Justice Pitchers ordered their trial begin on 13 September.

Ms Shakespeare also denies a count of robbery on 1 October, when she is alleged to have stolen a man's credit cards, cash and stamps.

Both defendants also deny charges of possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and conspiracy to rob.
