Ambulance car in emergency crash
Police accident generic
Witnesses say the ambulance car was using its siren and flashing light
An ambulance car responding to an emergency was involved in a collision with another vehicle in Cornwall.

Three people, including a paramedic from the ambulance car, were slightly injured in the crash in Camborne.

The accident happened at the junction of Treswithian Road and Coronation Avenue at about 2130 BST on Friday.

Sgt Alan Mobbs from Devon and Cornwall Police says an accident investigation is under way and is appealing for any witnesses.

He said: "Some witnesses have said the ambulance was using its blue lights and two-tone horns, so I think people may have turned to see the ambulance before the collision.

"We're asking for anyone who did see the collision or perhaps the vehicles beforehand to give us a ring."

Two occupants of a Vauxhall Cavalier were taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro with minor injuries.
