A search for a teenage boy feared drowned after he was swept away in a river, resumed on Saturday.
Rescue teams were called in after Adam Charlotte, 15, of Partington, fell into the River Bollin at Dunham Massey, near Altrincham, Greater Manchester.
Adam had been playing with friends near the river when he got into difficulties at about 1600 BST on Thursday.
A specialist fire service boat has been brought in and mountain rescue team members are involved in the search
Insp Nick Philips, who is leading the search, said the operation began again at first light on Saturday.

"We have covered a large area of the river and will now be searching the remainder," he said.
Three of Adam's friends were treated in hospital for shock after the incident.
Adam's parents, who have "been out of our minds with worry" are continuing to hope their son will be found.
Insp Philips added: "I would like to thank all those who have taken part in the search, especially those from outside organisations.
"They have shown an amazing amount of dedication and will continue to do so until Adam is found."
Dunham Massey is a National Trust site including a Tudor mansion, gardens and a deer park.
