University offers medical course
The University of Lincoln is hoping to encourage more people from the county into the medical profession.

The one-year course will give students entry to medical degree courses at the University of Nottingham.

The course is aimed at encouraging people to pursue a career in medicine, nursing, pharmacy, dietetics, physiotherapy and midwifery.

The Dean of the Faculty of Health, Prof Brian McGaw, said they wanted to attract under-represented groups.
