New jobs created at drinks firm
Plans for the Gerber factory at Bridgwater, Somerset
The factory will be built on the outskirts of Bridgwater
About 100 new jobs are to be created in Bridgwater after the town's biggest employer revealed it is to expand.

Gerber Food Soft Drinks has unveiled plans for a new factory and warehouse on the outskirts of the town.

The company plans to build a new metal and glass-clad building on a 38-acre site at Express Park.

Outline planning permission has already been granted and, subject to council approval, work is due to begin on site next month.

The firm says the new warehouse will create about 50 new jobs, and another 50 people will be recruited at its headquarters in the town.
