Crews tackle barn hay bale fire
Fire crews were called out to tackle a fire involving 1,000 bales of hay and straw in Devon.

The fire was at a barn in Bere Alston. Emergency crews were alerted to it at about 1800 GMT on Tuesday.

One fire appliance from Bere Alston, two appliances from Tavistock and a water bowser from Plympton were called to the scene.

Police say they are treating the fire as suspicious.

The barn was said to be well alight when emergency crews arrived.

Firefighters were at the scene damping down on Wednesday morning.
