Major roadworks nearly completed
The vast majority of roadworks at one of the busiest junctions in the West Midlands will be completed by the August Bank Holiday weekend.

Work started in March to improve the roads surrounding the Longbridge Island where the M40 meets the A46.

It has involved widening the motorway's southbound entry and northbound exit slip roads at junction 15 near Warwick.

The Highways Agency said all lanes at the island can be used during the Bank Holiday period at peak times.

Work has also involved widening the approach to the roundabout on the A46 from Coventry and the northern section of the island to ease congestion in the future.

A spokesman for the agency said the recent wet weather has delayed some of the final stages of the project.
