A car thought to have been used by the killers of a couple in Lincolnshire was stolen in Nottinghamshire.
John and Joan Stirland were shot dead in their home in the coastal town of Trusthorpe on 8 August.
They had fled Nottingham after gun shots were fired at their house in Carlton.
Detectives say the black Volkswagen Passat was stolen in Nottinghamshire at the end of July and was found burning near the murder site.
The couple are thought to have been murdered in revenge for a killing carried out by Mrs Stirland's son.
Witnesses have said they saw two men in boilers suits or overalls moving to or from the car outside the Stirland's bungalow.
