Thieving careworker spared jail
A care assistant from Blackpool who stole from residents at a nursing home has been spared a jail term.

Deborah Harman, 40, from Erdington Road, took bank cards from two men in their 80s and used them at cash point machines.

She pleaded guilty to seven offences and two others were also taken into consideration by Blackpool Magistrates.

She was ordered to pay £1,100 in compensation and carry out 120 hours community work.

Her defence said she had been trustworthy but was in a poor mental state at the time of the offences.
