Sark marks Trafalgar anniversary
Next year is set to be the busiest year of events for Sark tourism.

The island has announced plans to mark the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar and the death of Admiral Lord Nelson.

The SeaSark 2005 festival will focus on different aspects of the sea and their significance on island life.

The highlight is set to be a Midsummer Party on 28 June. Other events will include a sea food festival, a special rowing race and a fishing festival.

The celebrations reflect those on the mainland when the National Maritime Museum and VisitBritain will be staging a year-long festival to highlight Britain's relationship with the sea, its coastline and estuaries.
