Man accused of 'branding' victim
A Nottingham man has gone on trial, accused of raping a woman three times and branding her with a hot iron.

On Tuesday Nottingham Crown Court heard the woman's ordeal happened as she was house sitting for a friend.

The jury was told the alleged victim was threatened with a knife, tied up, gagged and then burnt on the shoulder and breast with an electric iron.

John Morley, 20, from Broxtowe, pleads not guilty to three charges of rape and indecent assault.

It is alleged the woman's hands were tied above her head with a belt and her mouth gagged with a tea towel.

The court heard Morley finally let her go after demanding she gave him £10.
