Schoolgirl murder appeal renewed
Lesley Molseed
Lesley's body was found on moorland in Yorkshire
Police have launched a fresh appeal for information into the murder of a schoolgirl 29 years ago, on the day that would have her 40th birthday.

Lesley Molseed's body was found on moors above Ripponden, near Halifax in 1975. She had been stabbed 12 times.

Stefan Kizsko, a tax clerk from Rochdale, was convicted of her murder, but was freed on appeal in 1992.

Since 2001, detectives have eliminated 900 people from their enquiries but believe someone local has information.

Lesley, 11, died after leaving her home in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, on an errand.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman confirmed they were still looking at a list containing a further 150 names, but added it was even possible that whoever committed the crime could now be dead.
