A 24-year-old Iraqi man critically injured in a stabbing incident in Great Yarmouth has died.

Mohammed Abdullah Hogar, of Crown Road, Great Yarmouth, died at Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge, on Monday evening, Norfolk Police said on Wednesday.

He was taken to hospital on 10 March after a stabbing incident which is now being treated as a murder enquiry.

Three men, also from Iraq, are still in police custody after being arrested following the incident.

The men are Adel Rahim and Dilshad Mahmoud, both 22, and Mohammed Hamed Hussein, 31.

The police spokesman said: "Further consultation will now take place with Crown Prosecution Service as to the appropriate course of action."

A postmortem examination is due to be carried out on Tuesday afternoon.
