Friend of murdered man is buried
Marvyn Bradshaw
Marvyn Bradshaw was shot outside a Nottingham pub
The funeral has taken place on Friday of the friend of a man shot dead by killer Michael O'Brien in 2003.

Doorman Jamie Gunn, 19, was found dead from pneumonia on 2 August after suffering from depression following the shooting in Nottingham.

He was in a car with Marvyn Bradshaw in August 2003 when his friend was shot and killed.

Police are hunting the murderers of Michael O'Brien's parents, who were shot dead on Sunday.

A carriage drawn by two white horses led the sombre procession through the Bulwell area.

Around 400 mourners filled the streets around St Mary's Church as the ceremony took place.

A handful of uniformed traffic officers were outside the church after the family declined an offer of armed support from Nottinghamshire Police.

Mr Gunn, from Bestwood, Nottingham, was a passenger in a car outside the Sporting Chance pub in Top Valley when shots were fired.

He cradled Mr Bradshaw, his best friend, in his arms before the 22-year-old died from gunshot injuries.

Mr Gunn's mother said he never recovered from the ordeal.

Michael O'Brien, 23, was jailed for life by a judge at Nottingham Crown Court last month after he was found guilty of the murder of Mr Bradshaw.

The court heard Mr Bradshaw was a victim of mistaken identity and it is believed the intended target of the shooting was Mr Gunn, a bouncer with whom O'Brien had argued with earlier that evening.
