Fan killed by high winds is named
A Liverpool man who was killed on the way to a football match in Leicester has been identified.

Bernard Paul Murphy, 39, from Huyton in Liverpool, was hit by flying debris in high winds on Upperton Road before the Leicester-Everton match on Saturday.

An inquest is due to open on Wednesday into Mr Murphy's death.

Leicester City Football Club has expressed its "deepest sympathy" to Mr Murphy's family and supporters have sent their condolences.

Ian Ross the spokesman for Everton Football club said: "We expected we would get messages of condolences from Everton and Liverpool fans.

"But we have been really heartened by the number of messages we have had from Leicester City fans.

"These have all been passed on to Mr Murphy's family and Everton would like to say thank you."
