Disney's Brother Bear film has become the 16th film in the company's history to pass the $200m (£111.1m) mark.
The film has made more than half that amount - $115m (£63.8m) - outside the United States.
The film is about a young Inuit hunter who is turned into a bear - and can only regain his human form with the aid of a cheeky bear cub.
Disney said the film had done particularly well in Latin America, making $14m (£7.77m) in Mexico alone.
The film was released in the UK on 5 December last year and has made more than £5m.
'Classic nature'
Its biggest European success has been in France, where it has made more than $24m (£13.3m).
Walt Disney Studio chairman Dick Cook praised the film's performance.
"The acceptance of Brother Bear by the global theatrical marketplace is a tribute not only to the creative force of the Disney animation team, but also to our distribution and marketing executives," he said.
"The appealing, classic nature of this traditional Disney property, coupled with the marketing and distribution expertise, has helped propel Brother Bear to these levels around the world."
