Inquest opens into school killing
An inquest has opened into the fatal stabbing of a man outside a school in Birmingham.

Mustafa Saeed, 39, was stabbed twice in the back last Tuesday, as he waited to collect his step-daughter from Holte School in Newtown.

The attack took place as pupils returned from a swimming lesson.

Two men, aged 33 and 49, and a 16-year-old youth were released on Friday after police applied for an extension to continue to question them.

A post-mortem examination revealed Mr Saeed, who is originally from Somalia, died from stab wounds.

Pupils at Holte School and Lozells Primary School have been offered counselling.
