Building society to cut jobs
Duffield Hall
The Derbyshire is based at Duffield Hall
The Derbyshire building society is proposing 25 job cuts at its headquarters near Derby.

Consultations are taking place with 344 staff at Duffield over the job losses, which are said to be a result of restructuring.

Employees at the building society's 53 branches will not affected.

A further announcement is expected next week.

The chief executive of the building society, Peter Richardson, said the decision was a response to business pressures.

He said: "Every business needs to remain competitive, we are no different.

"It's that time when we need to review all our employees' work programmes."
