Two men from Cambridgeshire have been arrested in connection with a number of armed robberies at post offices.
Both arrests were in relation to separate raids in Suffolk.
The first robbery took place just before 1730 GMT on 30 December at the Exning Road Post Office in Newmarket.
The robbers threatened staff with a gun and an axe before fleeing in a car with a quantity of cash.
The second - at a post office on The Street in Barton Mills - happened on 16 January at about 1715 GMT.
A Suffolk Police spokesman said officers had arrested a 44-year-old man and a 26-year-old man, both from Cambridgeshire.
They are being held at Bury St Edmunds police station.
