A body discovered at a Lancashire beauty spot has been confirmed to be that of a missing businessman.
The body of John Barrington-Fortune, 53, from Southport, was found hanged from a tree in the Trough of Bowland near Lancaster.
The manager of Formby Hall Golf Club was reported missing by his family on Tuesday morning.
A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out. There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
The body was discovered at Dunsop Bridge at about 0815 GMT on Wednesday.
Mr Barrington-Fortune, a father-of-two who lived in Birkdale, Southport, had been the manager at the Formby Hall Golf Club since it opened seven years ago and is credited with the business' success.
Friends and colleagues have paid tribute to Mr Barrington-Fortune.
Mike Swift, chairman of Southport Pier Trust, said his sudden death is a "great shock" to everyone who knew him.
