A University of Derby student has been found dead at a house in the city.
The body of the man, thought to be in his early 20s, was found at a shared student house in Drewry Lane at about 1000 GMT on Tuesday.
He has not been formally identified but it is believed he is originally from the West Midlands.
A Home Office pathologist was called in to examine the body but it is thought he had suffered a single stab wound. Police are examining the scene.
The death was initially being treated as suspicious but the police say they are not now looking for anyone else, although the dead man's house mates will be interviewed.
Relatives are being contacted and a post mortem examination will be carried out later.
