Bad behaviour addressed on buses
Schoolbus drivers in Wiltshire are to get training to tackle bad behaviour.

The county council's transport unit will provide the necessary expertise in teaching staff how to deal with pupils.

A pilot scheme has run at Trowbridge and the scheme has now been extended. Training is also being developed for taxi and minibus operators.

Judi Gardner, from the council, said: "Misbehaviour on school buses can lead to accidents and incidents elsewhere have given drivers cause for concern."

She added: "We decided to introduce this training course so that drivers feel they are properly prepared to deal with any incidents of rowdy behaviour."

Training includes risk awareness and evacuation procedures.
