Police have launched a murder inquiry following the death of a 62-year-old man in Walsall.
Police were called to a house in Stephenson Street, on the Beechdale Estate, on Saturday following reports that a man had collapsed.
He was taken to Walsall Manor Hospital where he died on Monday.
A man aged in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of murder on Monday evening and is helping police with their inquiries.
A post mortem examination revealed the man died from a head injury.
A West Midlands Police spokeswoman said: "The man is known to have been previously injured following an incident at a property in Stephenson Avenue on 15 January.
"At this stage police are keeping an open mind as to whether the death and the incident are linked."
Police are appealing for information.
