Car hits child in buggy
A two-year-old boy escaped with minor bruising when he was struck by a car as he sat in a pushchair.

The accident, on Monday night in Greater Manchester, also involved a teenage boy and a woman.

All three were taken to hospital after the incident in Smallbridge, near Rochdale, just before 1900 GMT.

The victims were crossing Halifax Road when the accident - involving a Vauxhall Corsa driven by a 70-year-old man from Wardle - happened.

Head injury

A 29-year-old woman from Rochdale, suffered a possible fractured left shoulder and a slight injury to her head.

The 13-year-old boy suffered a head injury and cuts to his legs.

They were later discharged from hospital after treatment.

Witnesses should contact the road policing unit at Rochdale police station.
