Car crashes during hail storm
A man is recovering in Jersey's General Hospital after a car crash during a hail storm.

The man, who suffered a head injury, was a passenger in the car when it crashed.

He is said to be in a stable condition in hospital.

Four people were treated for their injuries after the crash in St John.

It is thought a heavy hail storm caused the red Renault Clio to skid and crash into a wall on La Grande Route de St Jean at about 0300 GMT on Sunday.

The woman driver had stitches to a head wound.

The two other passengers were treated for shock and police are still investigating.
