Car driven at burglary victim
A burglar drove a car directly at a man after smashing into his house to take the keys to the vehicle, police said.

Two men broke into the property in Rugby Road, Binley Woods, Warwickshire, at about 0315 GMT on Monday by breaking a window in the porch and reaching through to unlock the door.

The offenders stole three sets of car keys before one of them drove away in a green Vauxhall Astra estate parked outside the house.

Warwickshire Police said a man living there was woken by the offenders and had the moving car aimed directly at him as he tried to prevent it being stolen.

The car, registration BV53 LZP, has a distinctive wheelchair hoist in the rear.

The offenders are two white males, both described as being 19 to 20-years-old.

One of them drove the stolen Astra while the other escaped in another car parked nearby.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
