A man has been shot in front of his young daughter at their County Down home.
Two masked men forced their way into their victim's home in the Abbotts Estate, Newtownards, at 1750 GMT on Sunday.
They shot the man in the leg.
The six-year-old child, who was in the kitchen with her father at the time, was not hurt.
The man was taken to hospital for treatment.
In a separate paramilitary-style attack in east Belfast, a 25-year-old man was shot in the legs and hand.
Police said five men burst into a house at Beersbridge Road at 1800 GMT on Sunday and shot their victim in front of three other people.
He was taken hospital where his injuries were described as not life threatening.
