A 44-year-old woman is critically ill in hospital after being hit by a car as she crossed the road in Rochdale.
The woman and a 40-year-old man had just got out of a taxi on Milnrow Road at around 0230 GMT on Sunday when they were hit by a Nissan Micra.
Both were taken to Rochdale Infirmary where the woman is suffering from serious head and internal injuries.
The man has serious injuries. The 19-year-old driver of the Nissan was not hurt.
