A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of his brother in Sunderland.
Northumbria Police were called to Dene Street, in the Millfield area of the city, at 2030 GMT on Saturday.
Officers found Charles Lakeman, 39, with a serious injury to his chest and he died later in hospital.
A post-mortem examination found that Mr Lakeman, of Dene Street, in Millfield, died from a stab wound to the chest.
Stephen Lakeman, 33, of Mortimer Street, in Sunderland, appeared before Houghton-le-Spring Magistrates' on Monday.
He was remanded in custody until Friday.
