Five people have been arrested after a man was beaten with baseball bats in a paramilitary-style assault.
Four men and a woman were held after the attack, which took place at a house in Drumbo, just outside south Belfast, on Saturday.
Police later seized items in a search of a house in Titterington Gardens.
The victim, whose car was also stolen, is recovering in hospital.
In a separate incident, a 34-year-old man was attacked in his home in the Finaghy area.
A man burst into his home and beat him with a baseball bat at about 0200 GMT on Sunday.
The police have said they are keeping an open mind about the attack.
