Police were called to Mr Griffiths' home on Saturday morning

Detectives are awaiting the results of a post-mortem examination on 35-year-old businessman found dead at his west Wales home over the weekend.

Officers and paramedics were called to the home of 35-year-old Brian John Griffiths in the village of Wiston, near Haverfordwest at around 0500 GMT on Saturday.

A man who was arrested in connection with the death has now been released on police bail pending further inquires.

Mr Griffiths was a director of a Haverfordwest-based plant hire form called B and B Hire which was a sponsor of the town's rugby club.

Haverfordwest RFC club secretary Steve Jones said members there were "shocked" when they heard the news.

"Brian was a keen supporter and sponsor of the club and was well liked by all the players and members here," he said.

"He was a former player here in his younger days as a back-row forward and his father is a stalwart of the club.

"Brian will be greatly missed," he added.

Pembrokeshire coroner Michael Howells has been informed of the death.
