Teenager killed crossing motorway
Several drivers may have unknowingly hit a teenage boy who died on the A1 near Wetherby, say police.

The 16-year-old was killed at around midnight on Saturday as he tried to cross the southbound carriageway.

Motorway police have spoken to the first driver but believe others may have hit the boy without realising it.

The teenager, who has not been named, lived locally. Police are appealing for witnesses and other drivers to come forward.
