Two men who walked into an Essex pub covered in blood are in hospital with stab wounds.
Police in Clacton are trying to establish the events leading up to two men being taken to hospital on Friday night.
On Sunday an Essex Police spokesman said neither was co-operating with investigating officers.
The alarm was raised by a member of the public after the men, who have not been named but are both in their 30s, went into the Brace of Pistols pub on St John's Road.
They were covered in blood and were taken to Colchester General Hospital by a man and a woman in a 4-by-4 vehicle.
Officers are trying to trace the couple.
The condition of both men is described as "stable".
