Baby dies after car crash
A six-month-old baby, who was involved in a car crash, has died in hospital.

The girl was in a Volkswagen Golf being driven by her parents which was in collision with a Renault Laguna near East Grinstead in West Sussex.

Six ambulances were sent to deal with the accident outside the Coach and Horses pub in Walderwick Road, Dormansland, at 1515 GMT on Friday.

The baby was taken to the East Surrey Hospital in Redhill with life-threatening injuries but on Saturday police said she had died.

Her parents, who were taken to the same hospital, were treated for shock.

The male driver of the Laguna was also taken to hospital but his condition is not thought to be serious.

Police are urging anyone with information about the crash to contact them.
