Baby hurt in car smash
A six-month-old baby has been badly hurt in a car crash in which four other people suffered minor injuries.

The accident happened outside a pub near East Grinstead, West Sussex, on Friday afternoon.

Six ambulances were sent to deal with casualties from the crash which involved a Volkswagen Golf and a Renault Laguna.

All those who were injured were taken to the East Surrey Hospital in Redhill.

Police said the six-month-old baby was suffering from life-threatening injuries.

All the other casualties needed treatment for minor injuries.

The collision happened outside the Coach and Horses pub in Wilderwick Road, Dormansland, at about 1515 GMT.
