Exam fears after school deaths
A school is writing to exam boards to ask for special consideration when they mark this years A-Level papers after the death of two students.

Both were in the same year group at Ecclesbourne School near Belper in Derbyshire, and there are worries about the effect on other pupils.

The head teacher is now writing to universities and examination boards.

Will Shepherd died at the start of the Autumn term and Tom Fletcher, 17, last week.

Tom died in a car crash on the A6 in Allestree on Saturday.

Ross Durkin, 18, a former pupil at the school, was driving the car and remains in hospital with serious head injuries.

A special assembly was held at the school on Friday morning in honour of Tom and Ross.
