Photographer gets new church role
Wells Cathedral
The photographer will capture church life on film
The Diocese of Bath and Wells has employed an Artist in Residence for the first time.

Graduate photographer Phil Day will spend a year capturing the "many aspects of church life" on film.

The job has been funded by the Christian charity The Templar Trust which wants to promote the Gospel through audio and video media.

Mr Day will be based at Bath Abbey, and will travel to all parts of the diocese during the 12 months.

He said: "I hope to represent a wide diversity of Christian worship and experience."

Mr Day hopes to eventually publish a book of his work.
